Trailer time

Its trailer time again folks and this week we have some real bangers for you, so enjoy!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Ignoring the hideous attempt by Tim Burton and Mark Wahlberg, the planet of the apes series is one of my favourite and most watched series of films (Scream and nightmare on elm st are probably the other two), and now we get the story of how it all began! Ok, so admittedly we have had this story before  in Conquest of the planet of the apes, where we see ceaser, the son of Cornelius and Zira start an uprising which leads to them becoming the dominant species. This time around the origin story is different with James Franco making a drug that results in super intelligent monkeys, and voila planet of the apes. I really hope its not bad, and at the moment it looks like it could be brilliant, whilst I loved the costumed apes of yesteryear the CGI does look fairly impressive and will allow for some really badass scenes. There are 2 trailers out for the film, this is the most reason and more impressive. Also I'm going to mention this again, its got James Franco in, its a planet of the apes film starring Franco, damn  thats awesome. Also if you look closely you may spot draco malfoy.

Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest
Directed by True Romance's Micheal Rapaport, this documentary takes us behind the scenes of one of Hip Hop's best and most influential band. It seems to focus on the band's break up and the deterioration of their friendships. The trailer makes this look hella energetic, and with interviews from the beastie boys, pete rock and Common, you know this film is going to be a must see for any fan of hip hop.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I'm yet to see any of the "The Girl" trilogy, and nor have I read any of the books. I just never got round to it, but now I don't think I will, I think it makes sense to wait for the remake which by the looks of the trailer will be better. How can I say a remake is going to be an improvement without seeing the original you ask? It's directed by Fincher. David Fincher. Fight Club, Social Network, Se7en - this guy makes some of the best films and this one already looks brilliant. Trent Reznor is working with him again with what will no doubt be an amazing soundtrack - already sounding awesome from the song in the trailer, and it's got Daniel Craig in, who is also awesome. Enjoy
